Doesn't fit my ear quite as good as BT2010, but usable. I's only been couple hours since I had this headset and it's most definitely going straight back to the store I bought it from.
I'd love to be able to find one that fits my ear as good as BT2010, but doesn't have all the connections problems and yet still in the the same price range and hopefully with a mini USB connection too, that by the way this Plantronics headset doesn't have either. For this very reason I do not recommend it, since being able to hear sound clearly is one of the most important attributes a bluetooth headset should have on the first place and this one just ain't got it.
I just got this one after my Jabra BT2010 stopped working. The default volume setting is very low and the volume control doesn't seem to do anything except making beeps in my ear.
I gave this Plantronics headset two stars since it does work, sort of, but is completely impractical otherwise. It paired without problems with my HW6945 iPaq.
To me the main problem was what other users already mentioned in their reviews - the volume.
The unit does not have "ECHO CANCELLATION" and conversations around you drown out your voice to the remote listener.Without ECHO CANCELLATION the only reason to purchase this model is if you are trying to annoy the person on the other end of the conversation (e.g. that's where everything STOPS. ex-boyfriends, ex-girlfriends, ex-husband, ex-wife, or irratating teenage kids). I purchased this item because Plantronics has had an excellent reputation in the audio arena. The design is EXTREMELY comfortable and looks very professional.
I don't know, maybe it's from the humidity or I spent too much time talking on it. I charged it fully, but after I used it for a few minutes it indicated low battery again. I plan to exchange it for the same model and see if (like another reviewer said) maybe this device was just one made on a Monday. I would say (even after reading other reviews about this) this has great reception and signal distance (about 15 feet for me before getting static). But although I've just had this headset for less than a week it started turning off by itself after just 3 minutes on a call.
After charging it up for two hours I paired it up with my phone.Pairing it up with my phone was very easy.Sound quality is okay, the sound quality is in a range from a phone call to am radio so its not that bad.I use it a lot to listen to music on my phone.Pros:Price, sizeCons:Sound quality is okay, isn't all that conferable. Plantronics Explorer 220 Bluetooth Headset (Black)I bought this headset for my Nokia 6085.
Walking around makes the static worse.Every time I touch the controls on the headset to adjust the volume or options, the signal breaks up into more static. If I hold up the phone to my head, about 5 inches from the Plantronics headset, it sounds great. With the Blackberry on my belt on the side closest to the headset, there is just too much static to have a conversation. Lots of static. I purchased the Plantronics 220 headset for my Blackberry 8830.
