I Just SAY BIG NO and not recommended to buy this headset. The more the distance(anything more than 50 cm or 2 ft) , more is static disturbance.Sound quality is only good(without any static) if hold the phone in your hand keep close( 1 to 2 ft)blue tooth(BT) headset in straight line. BT headset gets disconnected if move 10 feet away from the phone. I bought this one from COSTCO. Prior to this one, I used a Sony Ericsson BT, which was of high quality in all respects(sound, distance etc)which was died after 3 years of usage.I GAVE THE RATING as ONE STAR (*) , because set up and pairing is very easy. This headset has a very bad sound quality. Paired up with existing Samasung blue tooth(BT) Phone. If I keep the bluetooth in the right ear and hold my phone in my left packet, or left hand or couple feet away, I get static sound(a buzzzz and grrrr ) disturbance and is very annoying.
no kidding. In the past few days I have tried it both in my home environment as well as driving with the windows open and driving on the freeway. My phone is a Motorola W490, and for the past year I had been using the wired USB Motorola headset that came with the phone. I am quite quite impressed (especially at a cost of only [.].). In all instances, even with wind, I was quite impressed with the fact that not only could I hear the person on the other end of the conversation, but they could also hear me very clearly.Additionally, my phone has voice-dial capabilities, and I found that voice dial via the Plantronics headset was extremely to use and works excellently.Pairing the device with my phone, a Motorola W490, was also very easy. Then this last week I saw the Plantronics Explorer 220 Bluetooth headset for sale at CostCo for [.]. and I decided to give it a whirl.I am sure glad I did.In short, I find the voice quality to be great: in fact I find it to better than that of the wired headset that came with the phone (this is not only of me hearing the person on the other end, but of the person on the other end hearing my voice).
The volume doesn't go high enough while I'm driving so I can't hear over the car noise (yes, I have a brand new, fairly quiet car) Anyway, I'm debating returning it due to the discomfort factor. I went through three wired headsets (I like earbuds for wearing with ski and bike helmets) - lost one and had two fall apart on me, so I went to this product. But I am not impressed with this product - I can't get the earpiece to stay in my ear, except by twisting the ear loop and jamming the ear bud into my ear - it HURTS after just a few minutes of my 30 minute commute, or, if it isn't hurting me, it falls off and hits the ground or gets lost under my car seat.
I recommend this product very highly. I've purchased a good number of ear pieces for way more money; I think this bluetooth device is just as good, but for way less. It is comfortable to wear for my 12-13 hour days when I need one.
If I do manage to twist it around enough to get it lodged in my ear, it so uncomfortable that it verges on painful. The audio sounds like you're standing in a large empty warehouse. I just purchased this from Costco. I'm returning it on the same day I bought it. Hollow and echoey. Not even worth the $20. At [.]. I wasn't expecting the world, but at the very least I expected something that would fit in my ear.The earpiece itself is completely unusable for me.
